The head office of Macmillan Publishers Cameroon Ltd is located along the Atlantic
beach in the seaside town of Limbe, beside BICEC Bank Limbe, in the South West Province of
Cameroon. Our new branch office in the centre of Yaounde opened in November 1998.
Staffed entirely by Cameroonians, we work in association with Cameroonian educational
experts on the development of textbooks for the Cameroon school system. As well as
engaging in the publishing of educational texts, we also actively promote education by
running seminars and workshops throughout the country for potential authors and teachers,
using qualified facilitators.

Password is an exciting
seven-level course for Anglophone primary schools in Cameroon. It introduces the
structures and functions of English through a variety of stimulating and enjoyable

as introducing reading and writing. At the upper levels, these skills are developed
through more demanding work in cross-curricular contexts.
Champions in English

providing 3-5 hours of English per week at a gentle pace, with supportive Teacher's Books
in French.
NEW Cameroon Primary
Mathematics - a lively, 7-level maths course
specifically written for the new Cameroon maths syllabus. It presents maths in a
stimulating and interesting way using examples from the immediate environment, has
carefully graded language levels, contains a balanced combination of content and
exercises, and contains colour artwork which reflects the Cameroon context. Examples used
throughout have been kept general so that they are familiar and applicable to pupils
living in both urban and rural areas. Each of the seven Pupil's Books is accompanied by a
Teacher's Book.

Cosmos Primary Mathematics for Cameroon provides a progressive and
comprehensive approach to the teaching of maths, with illustrations drawn from the pupils'
familiar environment.
Lower Primary Geography for Cameroon
includes chapters on the earth and planets, landforms, soil, weather, trees and plants,
animals, towns, villages and the people of the world. Upper Primary Geography
for Cameroon looks at each continent in turn, examining the most important
countries in each area, and focusing particularly on the African continent and its rivers
and lakes, climate, natural vegetation and economy. A separate chapter describes Cameroon
in detail.
Upper Primary History for Cameroon
covers the primary history syllabus for years 6 and 7 and contains chapters on Cameroon
from pre-colonial times to the present day.
Secondary
school materials
NEW Passport to

A new 5-level course for Anglophone secondary schools in Cameroon. The emphasis is on the
communicative use of language which encourages students to communicate effectively in
speech and writing in everyday situations. Features include integration of the main

provinces.
