Explore English - Zambia Basic Education Project

An exciting, highly-illustrated English course for Zambian primary schools, which introduces the structures and functions of English through a variety of stimulating and enjoyable activities. It begins by focusing on building vocabulary, listening and speaking, as well as introducing reading and writing. At the upper grades, these skills are developed and practised through more demanding work in cross-curricular contexts. It fully covers the Zambian syllabus through both a communicative and traditional approach.

Zambia English Basic Education Course
These books contain a wealth of activities and exercises for oral, reading and writing work. There are Teacher's Books at each grade which provide valuable resource material and useful teaching notes for each unit. The English Department of the Curriculum Development Centre formed the writing team. The Pupil's Books provide:

The Pupil's Books present maths in a stimulating and interesting way, using examples from the immediate environment and in everyday contexts, while the Teacher's Books provide advice on lesson organisation and teaching methods. Zambia Secondary Mathematics Course (10-12)

These three books have been written to follow the Zambian Senior Secondary School Mathematics syllabus, which has been developed by the Curriculum Development Centre. It has been written by a selection of teachers from schools and institutions around Zambia. The authors have adopted a teaching method which actively involves the pupils in examples and exercises. It is hoped that this participation will provoke further enquiry by the students.

Zambia Senior Secondary Science Course
Chemistry 10-12
