Partnerships and Authors Partnerships and Authors

Partnerships with specialist organisations, aid donors and NGOs
  • Macmillan has a track record for developing strong links which combine our publishing skills with specialists from other industries or fields of interest from around the world. These publishing partnerships can take many different forms.

  • A partner can provide authors or specialist advice; the manuscript; funding; or maybe specialist marketing and distribution. Macmillan can bring further authors and contacts, editors, designers, and advanced production and printing facilities.

  • The partnership can be initiated by Macmillan or, alternatively, we may be approached by an organisation.

  • By linking up to the best local and international experts we can bring to a project or programme the most relevant and up-to-date knowledge and skills in the world. We are able to develop materials that are most appropriate for each individual situation.

Recent examples of successful publishing partnerships with specialist organisations include:

  1. Our World and Impact 2000 environmental wallcharts with The World Wide Fund for Nature
  2. Today’s Children with the UNHCR
  3. Senior Secondary Science Project with the Ghana Association of Science Teachers
  4. Transafrique and Go For English with Hachette / EDICEF Publishers
  5. Immunization in Practice with the World Health Organisation
  6. Refugee Health with Médecins Sans Frontières
  7. Where There is No Vet with Oxfam and CTA
